What we love about the New York Fashion Week is how each of the designers who participates in the event sometimes end up with similarities. They still have their signature touches, however they couldn’t seem to escape the similar air of the next season’s offerings. Here are some of Fabcrush favorites from the event. First up: bold fresh colors from DKNY.
Still in the bold colors mood, Project Runway alum, Christian Siriano offers some freshness in the formal lineup.
Tommy Hillfiger also came up with some fresh colors in its resort collection.
In the formal front, along with Christian Siriano, Zac Posen offers some really elegant structured dresses in calmer color tones.
Among the blocks of bold colors, Charlotte Ronson presented prints on her collection. Symetrical lines and patterns adorn the collection and we LOVE them.
Which collection will be filling your wardrobe next season?

We like winter because it’s the time of the year where we can wear lots of layers but still look stylish. However, we tend to put on the same coats, same jackets and same blazers everywhere we go. We have just the thing to eliminate the winter boredom. Add some sass to the warmth with this Alice + Olivia Long Ruffle Cardigan.

It’s been a long time since we talk about the ultimate animal print: Leopard. And we won’t talk much anyway, because we found some really sassy leopard fashion items to warm your winter a little bit. Remember girls, a touch of leopard says class while too much is trash. And here are our favorites!
Nanette Lepore Cheek To Cheek Velveteen Leopard Coat in Coffee Bean. Mini, double-breasted and screams: “Sexy Fierce!”
Sir Alistair Rai Leopard Parsi Stole, in Black / Silver. Note the Swarovski detailing. We just think they’re quite a razzle-dazzle.
Line Ava Leopard Wrap in Devon. 100% cashmere, unique cut and says Park Avenue more than anything, we just think this is one of the must-have this season.

The weather is getting cooler and it’s the best time to show off the classic pattern of winter: houndstooth. It’s weird that this pattern always shine at its brightest on the gloomiest day. But we love it anyway. It adds such sass to almost everything! So go out and be at your houndstooth finest. We might have a few suggestions.

We haven’t gotten enough cashmeres this fall, and we found something juicy from our beloved brand: Juicy Couture. It’s cool to wear with jeans and great to pair with working pants. It’s made from 50% wool and 50% cashmere and the front tie detail is a classic! Talk about a must-have.
If you love that wrap look that was everywhere in the winter, you’ll be glad to know you can show it off in the summer as well! The Shop Barbara Ribbed Wrap Shawl comes in the same draped silhouette, but this one is made of a thin jersey fabric, so it will keep the chill off at night without making you overheated. Get in either white or black.
This Kimono Sleeve Cover-Up is a little bit of a mystery piece– and I love it like that! While of course it will be welcome at any gallery opening or party, can’t you just picture it slung right over an embroidered, embellished bikini? Cigarette pants will be your mainstay when you start wearing this little number out– it looks awesome with a slim silhouette! 100% silk, dry clean.
This coat over at Couture Candy is a complete work of art. Available in a multicolored light blue, soft green, and purple mix, you feel like it could serve as a wardrobe mainstay. Now why can’t I wear just this coat when I go out? I love it so much. . . I guess I’ll have to settle for a simple pair of black trousers and a modelesque black tank to go with it. Rawr!
The White Cotton Cape by Celestina has an unusual, graceful shape even when it is not worn. Discovered on Vivre’s luxury site, this piece is the epitome of wardrobes designed for fun boat cruising, for dining al fresco, and for shopping in posh seaside boutiques. This item features an oversized sleeve and is lined in silk– how poetic. Pleat details with a hand-rolled edge.
This week, we’ll be covering 5 top picks on ShopRoberton’s online store. Here’s our fourth favorite, the For Joseph Bloom Sweater… Don’t forget to sign up for the ShopRobertson giveway!
Here’s a truly girlish way to keep warm; throw the For Joseph Bloom Sweater over just about any casual outfit. This long, empire waist sweater will keep you fully covered, and goes great with jeans. It’s made out of a cotton/acrylic blend which gives it a unique texture, and it also has short sleeves, and super cute rosette details, giving it a feminine touch. There’s no need to worry too much about what you’ll wear when you have this in your closet; the sweater itself will always do the talking.

Even though the weather is getting warmer, it’s still a good idea to have something in your closet that will keep the chill off. A lightweight, button free wrap cardigan is the way to go. If you’re looking to splurge, go for the gray, french terry Altitude Cardigan by Love by Yaya ($147). But don’t despair if you’re on a budget, the Banana Republic Petite Long-Sleeve Wrap Cardigan ($54) in a lively shade of bright green. Both will go great with your jeans and are perfect for layering.
