A ribbed sweater gives any outfit a cute and preppy look. We were lucky to find a short sleeved one with a design that is eerily similar to the Oscar De La Renta design. But the Lidi Dandy Tunic Sweater ($89) comes in a light weight silk/cotton knit, which is sure to keep you cool in the warm weather.

Put on the sweater with a green, a-line skirt. The floral skirt in the original look is pretty, but we’re going for the solid colored Tall Pleated Full Skirt by Banana Republic ($69). The color is absolutely lovely, and the pleats in it make it hang perfectly from your shape.

The biggest accent for this outfit is the necklace. Multiple strands of turquoise will do the trick, like the 3-Strand Green Aventurine Chip Necklace care of GemstonesAndPearls on Etsy.com ($14.95). With three twisted 18″ strands of jewels, it’s hard not to miss this great piece!

Time to accessorize it! Large rounded white shades are hot, and it’s hard to resist a pair like the Fendi White Zucchino Detail Sunglasses ($150). And you have to have something to stash your stuff in, so pick up the Merona Tote Bag from Target ($29.99); it’s a tall white tote, just like the one the model is wearing on the runway. And with 15 x 5.5 x 13 dimensions it’s plenty roomy!

Complete this look with a pair of green slingback platform heels; the Green Platform Slingback Peep Toe Heel Pumps ($22.99) are a particularly good choice. These detailed heels mix quilted and regular leather and of course, those adorable little buckles right across the toe.

Badgley Mischka rocked the runway for F/W, but you can rock this look for the transition into summer. . . and easily. All you need to do is embrace a fresh green along with a few sparkling accessories for this look, with a twist just like we like it. A dramatic sunhat made its way onto the runway with a prim look, but we’ve amped things up a tad with this Vivre mylar hat with a sweeping brim. It features a reflective section to protect your skin and still look great. . . doesn’t that look a lot cooler than the green felt version we spied at Badgley Mischka?

This dress was a great find at Newport News, since it combines a similar green and pattern. A defined waist area adds femininity to the silhouette, and isn’t that hemline floaty and sweet? Badgley Mischka’s styled look was shapely and fetching, just like this one here? Don’t you want to give it a try? I love the fact that it’s so affordable, too.

You know that this green cami won’t just go with this dress! I would love to try this basic camisole with my jeans or high-waisted sailorshorts as well, but today it will be paired with this fun sundress. If you’re looking for basics that match well with the Badgley Mischka seal of approval. Plus, a cropped shape is great for layering and showing off all your tanks and tees!

Gold lurex tights are purely fanciful, but who couldn’t resist them?I think that, with this outfit, I could definitely transition from day to night, and that alone is a tantalizing option for anyone who works a lot and can’t get home to change. Just stow these sparkly tights in your purse for a very easy addition come night.

There were tons of safari inspired looks strutting down the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana Cruise 2008 show, but this casual shorts and a tank combo is the one that really caught our eyes. Keep reading and we’ll give you all the pieces to pull of this daring look on your own.

A white tank will get this outfit off to a good start. Sure, the Wednesday Sheer Jersey Scoop Neck ($52) is basic, except the smocking at the neckline, but it needs to be considering how detailed some of the other pieces in this outfit are. Still, we’re sure you’ll find this thin 100% cotton tank ultra comfortable.

A pair of beige cargo shorts are a key piece for this look, and they help give the outfit that safari look that is so hot at the moment. Slip in to the James Perse Utility Drawstring Short ($168), made of comfy cotton, and you’ll be looking cute and sporty with the cuffs and flap pocket details.

We can’t forget the belt! It really does add extra character to an outfit like this. The Quartermaine Belt from Urban Outfitters ($9.99) is an especially good choice because it has buckle done in a contrasting color, just like in the Dolce & Gabanna look. This woven cotton and leather belt is going to look great slung around your waist!

Lastly we have the most daring part of this outfit, the knee high gladiator sandals. The ones in the original look are fab, but the Jeffrey Campbell Tip 2 Gladiator Sandals ($99.95) will work for us. With buckles galore, these sandals are done in snake print and the colors will compliment the rest of the outfit perfectly.

At the last Spring/Summer fashion week we fell in love with this bright and springy Allessandro Dell’acqua look, and we think you will too. So much so that we’ve put together a similar look that’s perfect for cocktail hour. Read on so that you can get the look!

The most stunning part of the runway look is the super high waisted hot pink mini skirt. For this look, we’re switching the color from pink to black, with the Jenni Kayne Two Way Zip High Waisted Miniskirt ($515). This sparkly polyester/cotton skirt will make a huge statement wherever you go.

We’re going for something a bit different with the top as well. The Gold Hawk Mini Ball Top ($231) has great cap sleeves, just like in the original look, as well as tiny ball accents around the boat style neckline. Way too cute! Tuck this in to the high waisted skirt, and even blouse it out if you want.

A tie belt is a must, and the Gap Cotton Robe Toggle Belt ($65) will do the trick. Just wrap it a couple of times around your natural waist and you’re almost good to go!

The finishing touch is a pair of strappy sandals, and we’re talking about sandals with a whole lot of straps! The Miss Sixty Strappy Sandals ($200.65) will come the closest to the shoes worn in the original outfit. These leather shoes have a 4″ heel for that great added extra height.

Tie these on and make your legs look about ten miles long! While the ones from the featured S/S show were a little more plain, we wanted to inject a fun touch as a conversation piece that you can wear with all your plain swimsuits when you are not rocking your Ashley Paige look. We know that you’ll want to wear these shoes over and over again, and that’s quite exciting indeed.

DSquared sure knows how to make a woman look sophisticated and ready for Spring, all at the same time time. They sent this young and tailored look down the runway at their Spring/Summer 2008 show, and know we’re showing you how to get it in your closet. Keep reading!

Start off this preppy look with a classically preppy piece; a blazer. The Rag & Bone Combat Jacket ($465) isn’t an exact match to the jacket in the original, besides it’s blue and white stripes. You’ll absolutely love the tailored detailing, especially the pockets and the white outlining round the lapels.

Underneath that, throw on a crisp cotton white button down, like the Rebecca & Drew Tuxedo Woven Shirt ($210). And leave a couple of buttons open so you’ll have plenty of room to show off your accessories.

Put it all together with a pair of cuffed shorts. We chose the cotton J Brand Cuff Short ($140) not only because of the cuffs, but also because they hit about mid thigh, just like the shorts worn in the DSquared runway look.

So, those white shorts are a bit plain on their own. Simple solution: accessorize them! We’re adding a skinny, navy colored belt around the waist band in the form of the Roda Belt ($56). It’s made of cotton, leather and metal with a closure that’s adjustable to a variety of different sizes.

Two final accessories to complete the look: shoes and a scarf. For your feet, put on the Two Lips Paloma Sandals ($74); this wedge has a small platform, 4″ heel and thin straps for that nearly bare footed look we see in the original outfit. And don’t forget to tie the Coach Signature Scarf ($68) around that pretty little neck of yours. It’s the final piece of the puzzle for this preppy look.

These shades here could be name-brand, but that’s not necessary if you are just doing the occasional accessorization with eyewear. Elie Saab is known for his glamorous and glitzy designs, and as much as us every day women would kill to wear his pieces, they’re usually only found on Hollywood starlets and socialites. Not a problem, because it is possible to get this look right off the rack! Read on and we’ll show you how, step by step.

It might not be quite as sheer and flowy, but we think the Hanii Y Drop Shoulder Blouse ($297) will make a perfect stand in for our version of the Elie Saab runway look. It’s silky and perfect for evening wear, and the full short sleeves and wide boat neck are similar to the original.

With this look, it’s all about sparkle on the lower half, and a whole lot of it! The Theory Roxanne Sequined Miniskirt ($88.50) will definitely do it. For our look, we’re going for something shorter and sassier, but still covered in silver sequins.

Yes, there’s plenty more shiny silver to add to this outfit. We decided to change up the silver platform pumps for a pair of silver platforms with an ankle strap, like the Steve Madden Kristle ($69.95). These flashy shoes will compliment the outfit perfectly and you’ll definitely feel sexy in these 4″ stilettos.

One more thing! Well actually, try two. The original look didn’t include any jewelry, but we thought, it already is covered in “bling” so why not add a little bit more? Pleated Blouse

Miss Sixty’s blouse was of the pleated variety, but there’s was chiffon. . . we’re just daring to be different here with the See by Chloe Black Pleated Bow Blouse that we scooped up over at Chick Downtown. It’s definitely a piece of cake to wear, as it combines an easy silhouette with an equally easy color for just about anyone.

You’ll save on accessories with this blouse, since its bow details are so very distinct. Instea, spend the extra time you usually spend on choosing the perfect necklace to get your hair just so. A casual fluff can sometimes be harder to pull off than it appears!

Metallic Trousers

They’re daring, but they look soo good on. . . trust us on this one. If you want to pull off the proper runway look, you’ll need to go for something that’s somewhat daring, somewhat classy but still a total risk-taker style. . . just like these. Miss Sixty would be proud of your interpretation if you went all out and tried these trousers on for size.

It was only a little over a week ago when the models hit the runway at Bryan Park for New York Fashion Week. One look in particular that stood out to us was this mix of femininity and urban edginess from the Yigal Azrouel collection. Keep reading to see how you can recreate this look.

Any top with a boat neck and some sort of ruffles around it will do well to recreate this look. This style of a top is pretty popular at the moment, but most are button downs. Luckily we came across the Edith Top with Ruffles by Twenty8Twelve ($310); the neckline is a bit lower, but other than that it will serve it’s purpose well.

We love the sort of organic and A-line shape that the original skirt takes on. For the real world version of the look, the D&G High Waist Pleated Bubble Skirt ($325) does the same at the hem, but in a more wearable way. With it’s cotton and polyester, the skirt will sit comfortably at the natural waist and is more than ready for the next piece; the belt.

The waist belt really brings both pieces of the outfit together, and a wide cumberbun style belt is definitely a better choice than a belt with a buckle. The Stitched Wrap Belt by Asos ($27.37) wraps itself around the waist several times for a more intricate and textured look.

The Zip Detail Bomber Jacket from Top Shop ($87.93) will look great over the entire outfit. Wear it open and it will resemble the wide lapelle’s on the original.

Last but not least, your legs! Cover them with opaque black tights; the 70 Denier Tights by Peaches Geldof ($11.41) are a perfect match. And a basic black ankle boot, like the Nine West Sophisto ($39.99) will complete the look.

Put it all together for an outfit that will make you look like you stepped off a runway in Paris!
