(GUESS Seraph Romper, $89.00)

People hate on rompers, but they can be pulled off if you’ve got the guts. Instead of trying to dress them up and make them something that they’re simply not, go for the casual look with high-end accessories. If you keep a romper in its natural habitat, you can reap the benefits of its stylish, simple shape. Go for it!

(Scarlett Dot Jumpers, $34.50)

The Scarlett Dot Romper isn’t too intimidating, as far as these particular garments go. Sweet polka dots makes them unassuming and sweet, while a drawstring tie adds a little shape to your frame. Ruffles are also a nice touch, and many just can’t resist them– myself included.

(Charlotte Russe Striped Romper, $12.99)

If you can’t handle regular rompers, try this one on for bed. At just $12.99, it’s a steal. If your wardrobe is already at maximum capacity for lace and satin pieces, this could be a cool addition to your bedroom attire and certainly unexpected. This piece would look great with a dramatic satin bathrobe complete with kimono sleeves.

(Rampage Beach Romper, $61.00)

Sleeveless rompers sometimes seem to work better, and they’re definitely recommended for the long-torso crowd. This particular basic look retains a good deal of fluidity and a fresh green color that totally “pops.” How easy would it be to slip this on over your bandeau swimsuit?

(Wet Seal Tie Shoulder Romper, $36.50)

This piece is akin to a smock, really, and therefore perfect for when you need to get down and dirty with art project, handling the kids, or even picnicking. Tie sides give you room for adjustment, and a substantial waist-tie will really make the difference in fit. I’m dying to put mine on with Dr. Scholls and a sack purse for an authentic ’70s vibe.
