Alexis Phifer may be engaged to Kanye West, but her talent as a fashion designer shines through on it’s own. Her label Ghita has collections dating back to the Fall of 2006, and at the end of last year Alexis hit a milestone by presenting the collection for the first time at Fashion Week. But her newest collection certainly isn’t for the faint of heart; she mixes feminine fits with edgy, mod details and an innovative use of plastic! Beckerman is a line created by three sisters and graduates of New Yorks prestigious design school FIT, Caillianne, Samantha and Chloe. They actually started their collection as a thesis at the school, and the up and coming line has taken off from there.
