Earlier this year we predicted afew of the trends we thought would be big in the Spring. Now one in particular is already popping up on store racks around the country (and on the web), and that’s dip dyed prints. Read on because we’ve got tops and dresses in this style at prices everyone can afford.

A great way to do a dip dye is on a basic t shirt. The Pencey Dip Dye Crew Neck ($97) and the Silence & Noise Dip Dye Blouse ($68) are two simple choices that you can easily throw on and still make a fashions statement. Both tops fade from of white to dark purple. But there are differences, the former is your regular cotton crew neck and the less expensive piece is actually done in silk with stylish dolman sleeves.

For something with a bit more flair, and ready for warmer weather, try an a line style tank top. There’s the cheap and chic Iridescent Dyed Knit Top from Forever 21 ($14.80) in a more muted light and dark blue combo. And on the higher end, there is the Wren Dip Dye Camisole ($218) in two colors that scream spring; white and yellow. Pair either one with denim capri’s, flip flops and your favorite shades; it’s a great look when you simply need to run to the market.

Not all dip dyed prints fade from top to bottom. These two fabulous dresses are dip dyed horizontally, and it’s not just that that makes these two pieces striking, it’s great color choices as well. The silk Adam Pleated Strapless Dress ($465) uses the edgy color pallete of white, yellow and gray in a surprisingly feminine way. And the Madison Marcus One Shoulder Dress ($260), which is also silk, is airy and delicate in pale shades of blue and pink.

As always, it doesn’t have to cost a fortune to get current trends, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to plurge once in a while!
