What can make a basic blouse, tank or tunic extraordinary? A crochet inset. This trend ads a touch of richness to any look, and it’s a great alternative to patterns or rouching. No matter what your budget is, we’ve found a crochet top that will look good without breaking the bank.
A sexy crochet inset blouse looks great with jeans. The Thurley Crochet Embellished Camisole ($302) gives dainty elegance to an casual outfit with it’s elaborate crochet pattern woven into 100% silk. But the Sky Crochet Waist Purple Chesna ($86) is equally cute in it’s own way, at less than 1/3 the price. The waist of this purple jersey baby doll style top is highlighted with crochet.
Crochet also dresses up basic tanks. If you’ve got the cash to spend, go or the Killah Crochet Detail Racer Back ($118.97) which looks like a basic tank from the front but it actually has a crochet design not only running straight down the back but on the sides as well. But if spending that much on a tank is a big much for you, there’s the slightly more basic Crochet Shirt Tail Tank by Free People ($48)
Last but not least, we have the tunic, which looks great with skinny jeans and flats. The Marciano Shelby Crochet Tunic ($98) will certainly look great with a medium wash pair of jeans, gold jewelry and a pair of clunky, colored heels. This particular tunic is quite basic, with the exception of crochet along the neckline. And on the less expensive end, theres the Forever 21 Crochet Burn Out Tunic ($14.80) which is something any of us can afford. We love the mix of crochet and a burnout paisley pattern, and we think you will too!
