(Rebecca Beeson Light Green Flutter Sleeve V-neck; $22.49)
The fun and girlish trend of flutter sleeves is popping up at all kinds of stores and boutiques on tops, woven shirts and dresses. Keep reading and we’ll show you how some of our favorite pieces at prices everyone can afford.
Flutter sleeves look the best when they’re done in bright pops of color. The pink Paul & Joe Ayaga Trapeze Top ($315) makes an impression from the front with it’s huge short sleeves, and it will also show off your lovely back from behind. And the less expensive Flutter-Sleeve Tee from Express ($19.50) is basic and easy to wear, and the sleeves are what really make a statement. Tuck either of these tops in underneath a white skirt with a bright colored thin belt.
More muted colors do flutter sleeves justice as well, especially with a darker outline. The Flutter Sleeve Dress by BeBe ($98) is just the right dress to have in your closet when you need to throw something on last minute, whether it’s casual or a bit more dressy. We love the way the sleeves are outlined in black on the dress, as well as the Dave Szeto Bee Knit Top ($411) which is perectly smart, and will go great with slacks for a wear to work look.
Woven flutter sleeve shirts are cool to wear and have a cute and girlish look. The pleats on the Miss Me Collection Flutter Scoop Top in White ($70) make the shape of the top similar to the shape of the sleeves. Similarly, the Charlotte Ronson Square Neck Flutter Blouse ($156) is loose and non fitted, but it’s the plaid pattern that really make sit a great piece.
Flutter sleeves is one trend that anyone can wear and it’s perfect for Spring. Be sure to try on one of these on your next shopping trip.
