Skirts are taking on a new shape this summer, literally! The hot new styles are all about volume and shape as bubble and tulip skirts take over the racks at our favorite boutiques. Get ready, because we have six great styles to show you that you’re sure to drool over!

The Bubble Skirt

Don’t be afraid to go short with a bubble mini skirt. The BeBe ShinyPleated Skirt ($98) is done in an elegant cream colored cotton/silk blend with a full, pleated body and bubble hem. On the higher end, there’s the 3.1 Phillip Lim Silk Bubble Skirt ($415), which is funky and fun, and makes for the perfect focal point of your outfit. Pair either one with a matching low cut fitted tee and let your bottom half do the talking.

The Tulip Skirt

A tulip skirt is fuller at the hips and narrow at the hem. You can wear this shapely style in the less expensive Theory “Cecily Manning” Tulip Skirt ($105.99) which is perfect to wear to work. But for casual wear, the pricier Acne Tulip Skirt With Belt ($206) with it’s large cargo pockets goes great over a white tank.

The Bubble Dress

A bubble skirt looks great on a dress too. The cotton Gennera Burnt Sienna Bubble Dress ($129) makes a great casual piece for the summer. Put it on with a braided belt and a pair of wedge heels and you’re good to go. And the Pinko White Belted Monoprint Bubble Minidress ($471) is short, sassy and perfect for a hot party.
