(Forever 21 Pleat Jewel Blouse; $$24.8 | Generra Sleeveless Ruffle Front Top; $195 )
Feminine details are in style at full force, and there’s nothing more sought after at the moment than ruffles. The great thing about this trend is that it can be worn by any body shape, on any occasion and, most importantly, it can be afforded by any budget! Keep reading and we’ll show you three different styles at high and low price points.
You can look lovely in lavender, no matter what your budget is. The shiny, short sleeve Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Ruffle Front Blouse ($117) has a series of ruffles running along the sides of the placket. And thankfully the same can be said about the much less expensive Satin Ruffle Blouse from Forever 21 ($19.80), except this piece buttons fully don the front and comes with a cute little tie.
Ruffled tops aren’t limited to wovens. The Bailey 44 Cascade Top ($101) and Arden B. Ruffle Front Sweater ($68) will both cling to your curves and provide a cascade of ruffles around a V shaped neckline. If spending in the three figures for a top is too much of a splurge for you, try the Arden B. top for about $30 less.
The ruffled look will also fly as cocktail wear. Try the Juicy Couture Cascading Ruffle Dress ($348) that has horizontal ruffles down the front. Similarly, the Chiffon Frill Front Tunic by Asos ($79) is just as delightfully girlish but also comes in a pop of color. Both dresses are adorable, but this is one time where we’re definitely loving the lower priced piece more.
Ruffles are such a great outfit accent; for more petite women, they fill out curves and enhance a smaller bust, and they’re completely forgiving for the rest of us. So go ahead and have that second piece of cheescake; you’ll look fabulous and no one will know the difference!
