Ashlee Simpson has it all; a brand new album, a famous fiance, and of course, great style. While promoting her new single at TRL Studios in New York last week, we were quite impressed with this prim and proper look she put together. So much so that we decided to knock it off just for you! Read on and we’ll show you exactly how to get this look.
To recreate Ashlee’s look, we’re going to need a ruffled, sleeveless blouse to start, like the American Living Ruffled Linen Shirt from JC Penneys ($60). This collared, button down linen top has multiple rows of ruffles cascading right down the middle; certainly more than in the original, but that just makes your look more special!
We’re changing the color of the skirt from gray to indigo, because the S&D Pencil Skirt from Nordstrom ($88) is just way too fab to pass up! It’s cinched and sashed at the natural waist with a feminine bow, and the pleats give it a stylish silhouette.
We can’t leave out the accessories for this look, especially those cute little brooches Ashlee has on her skirt. To get something of the same effect, add the Arden B. Stone Crystal Brooch ($24) right on the sash of the skirt, off to the side. This small detail really will brighten up the entire outfit.
Finish it all off with pair of black t straps. The sexy Charles David Engage T-Strap Pumps ($126.47) are a perfect match for Ashlee’s. The patent leather heels have a sleek 3 1/2 stilletto heel, and will keep your feet strapped comfortably in place.
