TV Guide Channel personality and ex American Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell sent camera bulbs flashing when she showed up on the red carpet wearing this number. We just love how trendy and feminine this look is, so we knew we had to create it for all of you. Read the rest to see what we came up with!
The halter top is a key piece in the original look. Most importantly, we needed to find a halter with some sort of feminine details around the neck, and we were lucky enough to do just that! The Bebe Rosette & Ruffle Trim Halter ($69) actually has a lot more going on than the inspiration piece, but what really matters is that it has to key elements; ruffles and flowers.
We purposely wanted to choose a pencil skirt with a bit of sheen; it makes the overall look dressier and it doesn’t look like the same old skirts you wear to work. The Clean Front Pencil Skirt by Arden B. ($68) was perfect, not only because of it’s added shine, but also because of the length, which hits right above the knee, and high waist.

The choice of a yellow pump was right on the money in the original! So obviously, we wouldn’t change or leave this element of the outfit out. A stilletto with a very pointy toe will match Kimberly Caldwell’s outfit the best, and the Carrie Pump from Guess ($94) is just that!

Lastly, throw on a bangle or two as a finishing touch. Something with a mix of gold and a darker gem or other material will come to closest to the jewelry from the original. The mix of gold and wood on the French Connection Chequerboard Bangle ($39.01) will serve this purpose nicely.
