The Hills star and up and coming fashion designer Lauren Conrad wore this stunning skirt an halter combination to wear for the launch of her clothing line in Canada. And we think she made a fabulous choice! Keep reading to see how you too can pull off a look like this.
Cover your top half in a black halter. The Bow Halter Top by Robert Rodriguez ($276) will work perfectly, especially since it has a tie around the neck. Not exactly the same as the rosette’s on Lauren’s top, but equally cute. And beyond that, the elastic around the hem of this cotton/nylon/spandex top will help it stay neatly in place while tucked into your skirt.
Next, a colored high waisted skirt will pop up against the rest of the outfit, which will be all black. The grey Twenty8Twelve Saftrine High Waisted Skirt ($300) will work with it’s girlish pleats and sash tie around the waist. The great thing about this skirt is that it comes up higher than most, just like the skirt in the original look.
We also chose a pair of ankle strap black heels. The Dolce & Gabbana Black Patent Metal Heel Sandals ($300) mix a variety of fabrics and shapes for a truly unique looking shoe. And don’t forget the semi sheer black stockings!
And lastly, a bonus piece! Lauren didn’t have a clutch as a part of her outfit, but chances are you’ll need something to store your stuff in. So we picked out the Helena de Natalio Dulce Clutch Bag ($262). The shimmery champagne colored leather will compliment the skirt nicely without making it too matchy-matchy. The great thing is you can mix and match this clutch with many different looks beyond just this one.
