Whether she’s on the street, promoting a movie or greeting her fans, Eva Longoria is always dressed to the nines. But it doesn’t take a ton of frills to pull off the perfect outfit. We’ll show you how to get this sophisticated look in five simple steps.

The top is a key piece in this look; it needs to be colorful and have a bit of volume to it. We think the French Connection Gypsy Cotton Square Neck Top ($108) comes pretty close to the blouse Eva is wearing. It may not be the same color, but the pretty shade of red will do the trick. It also has wide sleeves, similar to the puff sleeves on the blouse on Eva, and pleats that make the top wide enough to hang away from your waist.
For your lower half, all that is needed is a basic black knit pencil skirt like the Pencil Skirt by Graham & Spencer ($93.5). It’s fitted and goes past the knee, just like in the original outfit.
Wrap everything up nicely with a big patent leather belt like the Be & D Braided Belt ($300). The buckle on Eva’s belt is hug; this one might fall short by a few centimeters but it will certainly compliment your waist.
The stockings make a very big statement in this outfit; they’re knit tights that give the look texture. Here are two great options; one a bit more daring, and one a bit more safe. For the former, the Isabel Merino Wool Crochet Tights from Stockingirl.com ($32.99) comes quite close to the original look. But for something a bit more understated, the Crochet Tights from Bebe ($24) are just as stylish.
The shoes matter too! A pair of high heeled leather Mary Janes will finish off the look. The style Luminous by Nine West ($49.99) should top off the outfit just right. Eva’s shoes may not be peep toes, but a little bit of toe cleavage never hurt anyone!
In the end it’s always nice to have a conservative look that is trend forward at the same time. Throw on a wool coat over this outfit and you’re ready to head to the office or out to dinner.
