It seems like new fashion lines are popping up every minute, some are good and some are not so good. But every once in a while we’re lucky to come across a gem, and we would definitely put Canadian based label Chulo Pony in that category. We reached out to Chulo Pony to learn more about their label, their Spring 2008 line, and their design team. We were thrilled when Chulo Pony not only offered to sit down with us for an interview (coming later this week), but also to give away a $250 gift certificate for Chulo Pony to one lucky FabCrush reader. The Chulo Pony Design

The Chulo Pony line can be summed up as feminine and airy with a healthy dosage of trendiness thrown in. Think of a tea party for a modern 21st century woman. On ChuloPony.com, their current line can be viewed under ‘Dame Ottoline’, or you can see their look book under ‘Collection’. The collection is a perfect mix of edgier pieces like the Larissa Wrap Vest, the fun and shimmery Lucille Shorts, the practical Els Sailor Pants and the ultra femme Veronica Top and Clementine Dress. It’s definitely a good mix to keep you stylish no matter where you need to go.

And people do love to wear Chulo Pony, which is evident from the ‘Seen In Chulo’ section, where you can see photos of every day people sporting items from the line. The Lilianne in Dovegray is absolutely gorgeous! But then, it’s difficult to settle on just one. I love how each item in the line is so different and each one looks SO comfey…like you can live in them for the summer.

I’ll include a link to the page but I’m not sure there’s a way to link to the particular item I liked best since they’re set up in slideshow format. I loved the Astrid top. Such a pretty rich color for summer (which happens to look great on me). I also really love the gold design creeping up from the bottom and the sweeping shape.

I was expecting just another clothing site; was I ever surprised when I saw the cuts/detailing at Chulo Pony! Although it’s difficult to pick a favorite, I’m going to go with the Esmeralda coat in navy.

Oh wow…The clothes look so eclectic. I really love the cream dress because of that fifties/sixties look. Beautiful stuff indeed. I could loose myself in these designs.

I am all about chic, simple elegance and love to dress to show off my femininity. The piece that sums up my sense of style is the Madelaine dress! This is absolutely perfect for those hot summer nights when you want look soft and sexy, keep cool, and turn heads as you walk by. The Madelaine dress most certainly can pull this all off! It has been a very long time since I have seen an entire clothing line that totally “WOW’s” me, and today seeing Chulo Pony did just that. I was able to envision myself in so many of the pieces and I love the fact that you can mix and match so many of them together to create a variety of different looks.
