Daslu: it’s chic, it’s refined, and it could be one of the most exclusive shops on the planet. With its very own helipad, a slew of designer shops housed in an ultra-luxurious Sao Paulo, Brazil location. Dive into a veritable bonanza of amazing designers of local and international varieties… Daslu was the first shop in Brazil to import Chanel, and that’s certainly something to appreciate.
What’s the story behind Daslu?
Daslu was conceived by Lucia Piva de Albuquerque, who started the Daslu phenomenon by inviting her friends over for a drink, for a chat, and for a little shopping experience. As time passed, Daslu grew to encompass multiple houses with interconnected boutique shops, complete with open-air gazebos and amazing art pieces lying about. Daslu Villa opened in 2005 to encompass all that we love about designer fashion, from home pieces to the very best kid’s goodies.

What exactly can I find at Daslu?
You’re looking at Dior, Chanel, Prada, Valentino, Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, and Gucci, as well as “marcas nacionais” like Cris Barros and Raia de Goeye. Deep in the shop you’ll find American preppy marks from Gap to Banana, plus fancier styles bedecked in handmade accents like beading straight from local craftspeople. Daslu’s own brand has made a mark as a more affordable option in the world of special Daslu pieces, complete in 100% silks, real gemstone accents, and top trendy silhouettes.
Much has been discussed regarding Dalu’s presence in a country with substantial economic disparity. What has Daslu done to give back?
Daslu has made news in Sao Paulo with a series of community service programs and has been known to pay its staff well. Besides a salary that triples or quadruples the expected, employees such as cleaners receive a healthcare package and a food staple basket that includes basics like rice and flour. The “Dasluzetes,” as the salesgirls are called, are also known for volunteering for eduction and afterschool activities.
Okay… sounds good. Where exactly is this super-posh conglomerate of boutiques?
