Looking taller doesn’t always need to be about sky-high heels and the like! No, no: this spring, choose fantastic items without fear of looking stumpy. . . all it takes are a few tricks to look like a tall drink of water. I may only be 5′7,” but I can look three inches taller without foregoing my mega comfortable flats.

Try Capris
Capris are famous for leg length mishaps, but that truly doesn’t make them off limits. Instead of steering clear, you can consider capris if your torso is your shorter half, or if you choose a very slim pair that skim along your legs. If your capris hit close to your body at the rise and don’t fall away from your calves at the bottom.
Tip: Be sure to try them with flats that do not feature ankle straps or wide straps. This can completely ruin your capri look, as they’ll visually cut your legs in half. Instead, stick to mules with a tiny, tiny toe or a slim pair of thongs.

Go Short (Skirt-Wise, That Is)
Skirts are great for lengthening the leg, but you’ve got to aim for one that’s particularly brief. Instead of your calf-length skirt, dare to go above knee with something that’s a little more full. Your legs will look skinnier with a skirt that’s fuller, and your waist will look small as well if you tuck in your shirt with the whole ensemble, as pictured.

Wear Like Colors
High-waisted trousers can add inches and inches to your lower half, without heels, and you can even pull them off if you’ve never tried them before. All you need to do is skip wearing a tucked-in shirt and instead try something that shows skin up top at the collarbones and shoulders, and make sure that your trousers fit well along the rump and upper legs. The elongated vibe continues whether or not someone can see it!
Tip: Try black flats to keep the look even longer and taller.
