Kat Von D

You want to look a little hipper, stray away from the classic, and try something new. Maybe you love Kat Von D and would love to poach her look but just don’t know how! Or are you just interested in trying a new look? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered– and this time you’ll be rocking a Fab rock style.

Mix and Match

It’s important to find looks that work with the rest of your wardrobe. If you start creating a rock ‘n’ roll look from scratch, more often than not it will look a little awkward and definitely not natural. That’s no good! Try layering your long-line tanks underneath a rock-inspired or indie tee to start things off, and then pair them with a high-waisted skirt and booties to keep your look girly and fresh. No destroyed jeans need apply.

Try the Tees First

Rock tees are the backbone of any tougher look, and you should pay attention to two important aspects of your tops: fit and logo. Look for a shirt that hugs your curves, which can be a little challenging in indie designs that may embrace a more fluid shape. Find some gorgeous handmade leather belts to sling on top and add extra curves to your tees, and try to find them in modal or microfiber if you can.

Hair is Essential
Having a pin-straight style isn’t the way to go when you are trying out a new, daring look. Instead of flat-ironing everything down, get a little soft wave going to help you looking more relaxed and, very possibly, ready to party. Everything goes: try out half-up styles, messier ponytails, and cool braids, and then top then off with the selected hair accessories above.
