It was only a little over a week ago when the models hit the runway at Bryan Park for New York Fashion Week. One look in particular that stood out to us was this mix of femininity and urban edginess from the Yigal Azrouel collection. Keep reading to see how you can recreate this look.

Any top with a boat neck and some sort of ruffles around it will do well to recreate this look. This style of a top is pretty popular at the moment, but most are button downs. Luckily we came across the Edith Top with Ruffles by Twenty8Twelve ($310); the neckline is a bit lower, but other than that it will serve it’s purpose well.

We love the sort of organic and A-line shape that the original skirt takes on. For the real world version of the look, the D&G High Waist Pleated Bubble Skirt ($325) does the same at the hem, but in a more wearable way. With it’s cotton and polyester, the skirt will sit comfortably at the natural waist and is more than ready for the next piece; the belt.

The waist belt really brings both pieces of the outfit together, and a wide cumberbun style belt is definitely a better choice than a belt with a buckle. The Stitched Wrap Belt by Asos ($27.37) wraps itself around the waist several times for a more intricate and textured look.

The Zip Detail Bomber Jacket from Top Shop ($87.93) will look great over the entire outfit. Wear it open and it will resemble the wide lapelle’s on the original.

Last but not least, your legs! Cover them with opaque black tights; the 70 Denier Tights by Peaches Geldof ($11.41) are a perfect match. And a basic black ankle boot, like the Nine West Sophisto ($39.99) will complete the look.

Put it all together for an outfit that will make you look like you stepped off a runway in Paris!
