There were tons of safari inspired looks strutting down the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana Cruise 2008 show, but this casual shorts and a tank combo is the one that really caught our eyes. Keep reading and we’ll give you all the pieces to pull of this daring look on your own.
A white tank will get this outfit off to a good start. Sure, the Wednesday Sheer Jersey Scoop Neck ($52) is basic, except the smocking at the neckline, but it needs to be considering how detailed some of the other pieces in this outfit are. Still, we’re sure you’ll find this thin 100% cotton tank ultra comfortable.
A pair of beige cargo shorts are a key piece for this look, and they help give the outfit that safari look that is so hot at the moment. Slip in to the James Perse Utility Drawstring Short ($168), made of comfy cotton, and you’ll be looking cute and sporty with the cuffs and flap pocket details.
We can’t forget the belt! It really does add extra character to an outfit like this. The Quartermaine Belt from Urban Outfitters ($9.99) is an especially good choice because it has buckle done in a contrasting color, just like in the Dolce & Gabanna look. This woven cotton and leather belt is going to look great slung around your waist!
Lastly we have the most daring part of this outfit, the knee high gladiator sandals. The ones in the original look are fab, but the Jeffrey Campbell Tip 2 Gladiator Sandals ($99.95) will work for us. With buckles galore, these sandals are done in snake print and the colors will compliment the rest of the outfit perfectly.
