Most of us love just owning fabulous jewelry, but Gorjana, the owner and designer for Gorjana Jewelry, gets to make it for a living. Over the last four years, her unique but wearable pieces have made an impact in the style world, and they can be found at hip boutiques online and across the country. We sat down with her to get an idea of how she comes up with such gorgeous designs, and a lot more.

FabCrush: When did Gorjana first launch? What made you decide to get into the jewelry industry and launch your own business?

Gorjana: Jewelry was actually something I fell into. Growing up, I was always creative and designing things on my own. After college, I worked for Neiman Marcus, in jewelry, and things kind of naturally progressed from there. I felt there was a gap in the market for simple, everyday jewelry, so in 2004 I decided to design my own collection.

As lovers of fashion, we all know that our style isn’t just about the clothes, it’s also about the pieces that accent them. And what better way to do that than with a piece of jewelry that is not only eye catching but also well made? Gorjana manages to serve up bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings that are unique in shape and classic all at the same time.
